SSV Awards

School Sport Victoria (SSV) has opened nominations for 2026 school sports awards, to recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of students, teachers, schools, SSV coordinators and Team Vic officials across the state.

Awards Open for Nominations

Three awards are open for nominations:

• Victorian School Sports Awards – to recognise Government school students, teachers and schools – nominations close Tuesday 8 December 2026
• School Sport Victoria Awards – to recognise coordinators, schools, teachers and volunteers who go above and beyond in providing quality school sport – nominations close Tuesday 8 December 2026
• School Sport Victoria Academic and Sporting Achievement Medals – to recognise students who have achieved well academically and in sport - nominations close Sunday 29 November 2026

Recognising a range of achievements and contributions to school sport 

The awards enable nominations across a wide range of school sport achievement and contributions.

The Victorian School Sports Awards cover 6 categories, including the Individual Sporting Achievement (Sporting Blues) Awards and the Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award.

The School Sport Victoria Awards span 12 categories, including Coordinator of the Year, the SSV Spirit of Sport Award, Team Vic Awards, SSV Recognition Awards, SSV Service Awards and SSV Life Membership.

The SSV Academic and Sporting Achievement Medals are available for schools to nominate students, with up to two medals per school.
