⚾ State Baseball Finals Update! 🏆

What an incredible two days of high-quality baseball at the Intermediate (Year 9 and 10) and Senior (Year 11 and 12) State Finals! The talent, determination, and sportsmanship on display were absolutely outstanding. 🌟👏 Here is how the action unfolded: 🔹 Intermediate Division (Year 9 and 10) There was a quick change of plans early on when Koonung Secondary College experienced some travel delays and arrived short on numbers with five players. To keep the competition fierce and fair, the tournament structure was successfully adapted into two pools of three teams! 📋️ Both Strathmore Secondary College and Maribyrnong Sports Academy showed incredible dominance, convincingly winning their respective groups to face off in a thrilling showdown. Ultimately, Maribyrnong Sports Academy took home the championship with a fantastic 4 to 1 victory in the final! 🥇🎉 🔹 Senior Division (Year 11 and 12) The senior tournament was an absolute nail-biter from start to finish! 😱🔥 The competition was incredibly tight, featuring high-level plays throughout the entire day. With six elite teams hitting the diamonds, the field was so beautifully balanced that truly anyone could have walked away with the grand final victory. 🙌 A Massive Thank You! A huge shoutout goes to the fantastic umpires for their excellent officiating across both days, and to the ground crew for the flawless setups.
