School Sport Australia (SSA) presents the SSA Cross Country Championships on an annual basis.
Please read the Team Vic Information Sheet before registering. This document contains important information on the SSV Team Vic Program, in relation to eligibility, registration, multiclass, selection, participation costs and financial assistance.
Government school students who are in a Primary member school and meet the age-eligibility criteria must progress to the SSV State Cross Country Championships via their interschool pathway.
Government school students who are in Year 7 at a member school must progress to the SSV State Cross Country Championships via their interschool pathway, and compete at the SSV State Finals in the secondary race. Times will be compared to determine the make-up of the 12 Years and Under team.
Students turning 11 or 12 years of age in 2024 who are in Year 7 at an affiliate member school, must register to trial. These students will compete in the SSV State Cross Country Championships for Team Vic selection purposes only and are not eligible for medals.
Registrations for Year 7 students at affiliate member schools closed 11:59pm, Monday 17 June, 2024.
School Sport Victoria enters one representative team in each of the following SSA Championships:
- 10-12 Years
- 10-12 Years Multiclass
