School Sport Australia (SSA) presents the SSA Cross Country Championships on an annual basis.
Please read the Team Vic Information Sheet before
registering. This document contains important information on the SSV Team Vic
Program, in relation to eligibility, registration, multiclass, selection,
participation costs and financial assistance.
Students turning 11 or 12 years of age in 2026 who are in Year 7 at an SSV Affiliate member secondary school, must register to express their interest to trial. If approved as eligible, these students will compete as 'Invitation' athletes in the SSV State Cross Country Championships for Team Vic selection purposes only and are not eligible for medals.
Expressions of interest to compete as an 'Invitation' athlete opened on Friday, 20 February 2026.

School Sport Victoria enters one representative team in each of the following SSA Championships:
- 10-12 Years
- 10-12 Years Multiclass
