School Sport Victoria (SSV), as part of the Department of Education, is thrilled to celebrate its 1-year partnership anniversary with rebel, Australia’s leading sports retailer. The partnership is based on the strategic congruence of the organisations and, most specifically, supporting grassroots sport, inclusiveness, and physical activity particularly for Australian children. The partnership assists SSV with enhancing the student experience and the ongoing affordability of school sport and strengthens rebel’s vision, ‘To inspire all Australians to chase their sporting dreams and passions’.
2023 partnership highlights:
- rebel supported the SSV primary interschool sport competition including dedicated activation sites and popup stores at events;
- rebel supported the Victorian Teachers’ Games with a focus on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Victorian school educators and staff;
- rebel provided sports equipment vouchers for the SSV 2022 and 2023 Sports School(s) of the Year and the Victorian School Sports Awards including a $1,000 voucher to the ‘Outstanding School and Community Partnership’ winning school and vouchers to other award category winners;
- rebel has provided approximately 1,200 vouchers to Victorian students;
- rebel has supported SSV’s network of 350+ coordinators with branding on the newly released SSV coordinators polos; and
- rebel branding on 7,000+ SSV merchandise hoodies
