Competition Pathway

How far can your school team go? In the primary pathway school teams can progress from matches with local schools through to the State Final:

District > Division > Region > State

Age Groups

Primary School

SSV conducts primary school compatitions for the following age groups:

• Primary Girls
• Primary Boys/Mixed

Secondary School

Secondary competitions are organised by year levels to ensure fair and age-appropriate play:

• Year 7: Girls and Boys/Mixed
• Year 8: Girls and Boys/Mixed
• Intermediate (Years 9 and 10): Girls and Boys/Mixed
• Senior (Years 11 and 12): Girls and Boys/Mixed

Premier League

To support high-performing teams from sports specialist schools, SSV also conducts the Premier League competition within the secondary school program. The Premier League stream allows selected schools to compete at the highest level of school sport.

State Finals

State finals are the pinnacle of the interschool pathway. You can find specific details regarding venues, match rules, and draws in the event listed below. Results are updated on the website following the conclusion of each event.
