School Golf Update

Golf Australia (Vic) and School Sport Victoria (SSV) are continuing their longstanding partnership with some new initiatives and changes being introduced in 2024 to provide more positive golf experiences for Victorian students in the future.
In 2024, Golf Australia's (Vic) school strategy is focused on building a non-competitive environment with an emphasis on fun and game-based activities. Participants will be encouraged to progress their game and stay healthy and active by fostering a connection with local golf clubs.
Victorian schools and students will still be able to participate in Golf Australia (Vic) School Experiences and in events designed to suit their ability level in Victorian junior golfing events including the "Rookie Series", Golf Australia (Vic) Junior Order of Merit Events, and the newly created playing opportunities through TeeMates®.
The Golf Australia (Vic) School Experiences and the Victorian junior golfing events are available to Victorian schools and students in lieu of the SSV and Golf Australia (Vic) interschool sport golf program not being offered from 2024.
Golf Australia (Vic) will continue its support of the SSV U12 and U18 Team Vic teams by utilising the Golf Australia (Vic) 'Order of Merit' to select the Team Vic Golf players in collaboration with SSV. Additionally, there will be the opportunity for selected players to experience advanced training at the Australian Golf Centre.

The changes to the delivery of golfing opportunities for students have been made in alignment with the SSV and Golf Australia strategies with the overarching focus on providing the best golf experience possible for Victorian students.
