School Sport Victoria (SSV) is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 Participation and Performance Infographics and the 2025 Summary Infographics.
These infographics outline key highlights including:
- engaging students to play sport, including through interschool and state representative pathways,
- the people and partners who support school sport opportunities, and
- our engagement with schools and families through our online channels.
2025 Performance Highlights
This past year saw a significant surge in student participation engagement in sport across the state. Key achievements include:
- Interschool Participation: providing 681,159 interschool sport participation opportunities—the highest to date and an increase of approximately 7% compared to 2024.
- Team Vic Excellence: 1,090 students proudly donned the navy and white to represent Team Vic in 47 teams across 19 sports at School Sport Australia Championships.
- Victorian Teachers' Games: the Melbourne-based event was a resounding success, with 1,119 participants and 104 staff, volunteers and officials coming together for the annual multi-day event engaging educators in wellbeing and sporting competition.
