What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is simple to learn and easy to set up. To get started, you only need a disc, eight marker cones, and a group of students. Key features of the sport include:

• Self-Refereed: Players are responsible for adhering to and overseeing the rules through the "Spirit of the Game."
• Inclusive Teams: Competitions usually feature co-ed teams where all students play together.
• Athletic and Fast-Paced: The game promotes physical literacy and teamwork.

All divisions for the state championships will take place at the same venue:

• Venue: Western, Ryder, Ransford, and McAlister Ovals
• Address: Royal Park (Park St, Parkville)

Tournament Format and Team Requirements

Every championship follows a structured setup to ensure maximum game time and equal participation for all teams.

• Game Format: 5-a-side competition, featuring pool play followed by finals.
• Team Size: 10 to 12 players per team is strongly recommended.
• Inclusivity: We encourage schools to bring along teams of all skill levels to experience championship-level play in a supportive environment.
