Are you ready to help Victorian students reach their sporting potential? School Sport Victoria (SSV) invites passionate teachers and sports professionals to apply for Team Official roles. By joining Team Vic, you will lead state representative teams at the School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships, providing students with life-changing opportunities to compete at a national level.
As a Team Vic Official, you will play an important role in creating positive sporting experiences, supporting student wellbeing, and helping Victorian student athletes perform at their highest level.

About the Role
Team Officials provide operational, management and coaching leadership throughout the Team Vic program. This may include:
All Team Officials play a vital role in maintaining a safe, inclusive and positive environment for students and are expected to uphold the values and expectations of School Sport Victoria and the Victorian Department of Education.
Team Official Roles
While all Team Officials share responsibility for student wellbeing, supervision and team leadership, specific responsibilities differ depending on the role.
Coach/Team Coach
Team Coaches provide technical leadership and athlete development throughout the Team Vic program.
Key Responsibilities
Minimum Requirement
Team Manager
Team Managers provide organisational, administrative and operational leadership to support the successful delivery of the Team Vic program.

Sports Trainer
Sports Trainers support athlete health, wellbeing and physical preparation throughout the Team Vic program.

Key Selection Criteria
As part of your application, you must provide responses addressing the following selection criteria.
1. Victorian Public Sector Values
Demonstrated commitment to the Victorian Public Sector Values and the principles that underpin safe, inclusive and ethical practice.
2. Teamwork and Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
3. Sport-Specific Experience
Demonstrated coaching and/or management experience in the relevant sport at school, community, representative or higher levels.
4. Leadership of Student Athletes
Demonstrated leadership in supporting, developing and managing student athletes.
5. Knowledge of School Sport Australia Championships
Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations and expectations of School Sport Australia Championships.
