Interschool Sport Invitation Request Form

School Sport Victoria (SSV) recognises that there are circumstances where students are not able to follow the prescribed progression pathway for SSV interschool sport competitions.

This policy allows schools to apply for an invitation for these students as long as they meet the criteria mentioned in this policy. If the student's circumstances does not meet one of the criteria, then an invitation will not be granted.

Note: Family holidays and personal commitments are not grounds for an invitation. Individuals may only miss one level of competition if granted an Invitation by meeting the Invitation Criteria as listed in Section 1 of the SSV Interschool Sport Invitation Policy.

A request to miss more than one level of competition will not be granted:

• Note if you are applying for an invitation for multiple events, you will have to repeat the whole application process as each event has to be treated on its own merits.
• For this Invitation request to be considered, the competitor must have finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their previous level of SSV competition this year &
• For Swimming and Track and Field: Best verifiable performances must be equal to or better than 8th place at the previous year's competition. Evidence of the performance must be submitted &
• For Cross Country: Best verifiable performance that would have qualified for the previous year's competition. Up to 10th place for Primary and 15th place for Secondary. Evidence of the performance must be submitted &
• Invitations are subject to lane availability for Swimming and Track and Field.
