School Sport Victoria announces new partnerships with Bowls Victoria and Volleyball Victoria, strengthening school sport pathways and opportunities for students across the state.
School Sport Victoria is pleased to announce new partnerships with Bowls Victoria and Volleyball Victoria. These partnerships are important in supporting the range of school sport opportunities provided across these sports whilst consolidating the importance of school sport for SSV's partners.
Tony Sherwill, Chief Executive Officer at Bowls Victoria, said: "The strong connection between Bowls Victoria and School Sport Victoria is further consolidated with the signing of this new Partnership Agreement.
School-aged participants all over the State are benefiting from the opportunities this relationship is helping to create and enhance.
We welcome the future strategies agreed with SSV and the benefits it will bring to participants, Clubs, Schools and the sprot bowls more broadly."
Kylie Bloodworth, Chief Executive Officer at Volleyball Victoria, said "Volleyball Victoria is thrilled to formalise our renewed partnership with School Sport Victoria and continue supporting the growth of one of Victoria’s fastest growing school sports. The continued rise in volleyball participation across both primary and secondary schools demonstrates volleyball's strong appeal and the importance of schools introducing students to volleyball. From first experiences in school sport through to representative opportunities with Team Vic, the school pathway provides students with opportunities to participate, develop and achieve at every level. Through this partnership, Volleyball Victoria and School Sport Victoria will work together to strengthen participation pathways, support teachers and schools, expand opportunities in regional communities, and create stronger connections between school and community volleyball. We are excited to build on the momentum of recent years and ensure even more Victorian students can experience the benefits of volleyball, whether they are playing for fun, representing their school, or aspiring to wear the Big V.
