School Sport Victoria announces partnership renewals with Baseball Victoria and Softball Victoria

School Sport Victoria (SSV) is pleased to announce partnership renewals with Baseball Victoria (BV) and Softball Victoria (SV) through until the end of 2026.

In 2026, there were 3,649 interschool baseball participation engagements with 17 students representing Team Vic at the School Sport Australia Championships.

Chet Gray, Chief Executive Baseball Victoria, said: “We are excited to renew with SSV and continue to provide baseball opportunities for Victorian school students. We look forward to continuing our work with SSV to determine the best interschool sport delivery model to provide more interschool baseball participation opportunities including enhancing the student experience. Additionally, we look forward to continuing to support schools and teachers with their professional development.”

There were 11.920 interschool softball participation engagements, 17,430 tee ball interschool sport participation engagements with 4 Team Vic softball teams winning an incredible 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at the School Sport Australia Championships in 2026.

Jo Schutt, State Operations Manager Softball Victoria, said: “The strong working relationship between School Sport Victoria and Softball Victoria continues with the renewal of this agreement. From a participation perspective, the SSV softball and tee ball programs continue to be our biggest program and we look forward to working with SSV to continue to build these participation numbers including a focus on increasing our community participation numbers and supporting SSV and school sport coordinators with their professional development.”
