Victorian Teachers' Games: Fun, Connection, and Community

Held in Melbourne from 20-22 September 2026, during the September school holidays, the annual Victorian Teachers' Games brought together more than 770 education staff for three days of friendly competition, active participation and connection.

Celebrating Active Educators

With over 28 sports and activities, the Games once again showcased the incredible sense of community that exists within our education workforce.

From team sports and individual activities through to social events and celebrations, participants made the most of every opportunity to get active and connect.

Beyond the medals and results, the true highlight of the Games was the atmosphere created by participants.

Across all venues, there were countless examples of encouragement, laughter, teamwork and friendship, reinforcing what makes the Games such an important event on the calendar.

Event Operations and Partner Support

Delivered by School Sport Victoria, the event was brought to life by 84 conveners and officials who managed safety and fair play, along with more than 12 volunteers and School Sport Victoria staff handling logistics and supporting participants to have a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

School Sport Victoria warmly acknowledges the support of Australian Education Union (AEU), Teachers Health, Drifter, and S-Trend, whose partnerships helped enhance the participant experience and contribute to the success of the 2026 Games.

Looking ahead to the 2027 Victorian Teachers’ Games

The Victorian Teachers' Games will head to regional Victoria in 2027, creating new opportunities for education staff to connect, participate and celebrate with colleagues from across the state.
