School Sport Victoria is pleased to announce new partnerships with AFL Victoria and Cricket Victoria. These partnerships are important in supporting the range of school sport opportunities provided across these sports, whilst consolidating the importance of school sport for SSV's partners.
Liam Murphy, General Manager Premier Cricket and Community Cricket, Cricket Victoria, said: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with School Sport Victoria through to 2028, reinforcing our shared commitment to growing cricket in schools and supporting students as they transition into community clubs. This agreement is an exciting step in building inclusive, accessible pathways that inspire the next generation of Victorian cricketers.”
Greg Madigan, Head of AFL Victoria said, “With over 69,000 students participating in Australian Football across primary and secondary school competitions, AFL Victoria’s partnership with School Sport Victoria remains important to the overall growth of football participation rates in Victoria. We are thrilled with this new agreement and are excited to work closely with SSV over the next 2-years to implement Australian Football for schools that will enhance the student experience and help more students love and connect with the game”
