​Team Vic program in 2021: Update

School Sport Victoria acknowledges the valued development and educational outcomes that the Team Vic program provides talented Victorian students each year and is committed to providing a Team Vic program for Victorian students in 2021.

This will include continuing with:

• Student registrations for selection trials

• Delivering selection trials for Team Vic teams

• Selecting and announcing the Team Vic teams

Following the announcement by School Sport Australia that School Sport Australia Championships for 2021 are cancelled, School Sport Victoria is considering a range of alternative options for the program, to ensure students can still have a positive and valued experience through the Team Vic program in 2021.

Recently invitations were issued to all State and Territory Education Departments to attend a combined Basketball Challenge, 18 Years and Under Bowls Challenge, 17 Years and Under Boys and Girls Softball Challenge, 18 Years and Under Golf Challenge and a 12 Years and Under Cricket Challenge. 

School Sport Victoria is currently working through opportunities for the remaining sports on the Team Vic program, and will provide further updates shortly.

Direct communication to those parents and students that are selected in Team Vic teams will take place once the team is announced, and options are finalised.
