Premier League semi-final winners will battle it out in the Grand Final at AAMI Park

Darebin International Sports Centre hosted four School Sport Victoria Football (Soccer) Premier League semifinals on Tuesday 26 March.

The boys and girls teams gathered to compete for the opportunity to not only play in the grand final, but to play on the hallowed ground of AAMI Park. The grand final will be a pre-cursor to the Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners game on the 14 April.

We are proud of our continued partnership with Melbourne Victory in supporting the Premier League and coordinating the grand final to be held at AAMI Park.

The School Sport Victoria Premier League Division exists within Football (Soccer) and Australia Football. The Football (Soccer) Premier League commenced in 2014 to give the students the opportunity to compete at a higher level with teams suited to their competition level. The Premier League allows for the teams in each division to play a much higher competitive style of the game.

Each of the teams played in a manner that highlighted why they are suited to compete in the premier league. Each student represented their school proudly.

In the girls division, Maribyrnong College defeated Keilor Downs 10-0, in a later game Rowville Secondary College defeated University High School 1-0.

The full results for the entire draw can be seen here on the SSV website

In the boys division, John Fawkner College defeated Rowville Secondary College in a thrilling game 4-3, while in a later game Maribyrnong College defeated SEDA 4-1.

The full results for the entire draw can be seen here on the SSV website

The grand final will be held on Sunday, 14 April 2019, 11:00am at AAMI Park. Which is a curtain raiser for the round 25 A-League match between valued partner, Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners starting at 5:00pm.

The girls grand final will be between Maribyrnong College vs Rowville Secondary College.

The boys grand final will be between Maribyrnong College vs John Fawkner College.
