SSV Combined Region and State Diving Championships
19/02/2026

School Sport Victoria Combined Region and State Diving Championships Registrations Open

The highly anticipated School Sport Victoria (SSV) Region and State Diving competitions will be held on Wednesday, 22 April at the iconic Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) in Albert Park. This format aims to streamline the competition process and provide an exciting day of diving action for student-athletes across Victoria.

The day will begin with a comprehensive skills and development session specifically designed for the Region Diving competitions. This opening block provides students with a valuable opportunity to refine their technical execution—focusing on approach, take-off, and entry—while acclimatising to the competition environment. Following this developmental phase, the qualifying rounds will commence, allowing students to showcase their progress as they vie for a spot in the the afternoon, the State Championships, where the top divers from the regional rounds will vie for state titles.

Qualification for the State Championships is contingent upon participation and performance in the morning's Region events. Students must compete and achieve the necessary standards in their respective regional categories to advance to the afternoon's State Championship program.

Student registrations are currently open and close on 24 March 2026 with further details regarding event schedules, specific age groups, to be communicated to participating schools and coaches. SSV encourages all eligible student divers to prepare for what promises to be a thrilling day of competition and sportsmanship.
