INDIVIDUAL SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (SPORTING BLUE)

Government Primary School students may be nominated for an Individual Sporting Blue Award for outstanding achievement in the following key sports:
Australian Rules Football, Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Diving, Football, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rugby League, Softball, Swimming and Tennis.

Government Secondary School students may be nominated for an Individual Sporting Blue Award for outstanding achievement in the following key sports:
Australian Rules Football, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Diving, Football, Golf, Hockey, Netball, Rugby League, Softball, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.

Multi Class students may nominate in Cross Country, Swimming and Track and Field. Multi Class students may be eligible for an overall Individual Sporting Award, this will be at the selectors discretion. 

Nominations for any sport not listed above, should use the “Outstanding Sporting Achievement” in the dropdown list of the Online Nomination Form. Ensure only one sport per nomination form.

  • Nominees should include evidence of school and sporting leadership activities.
  • Nominations may be made by Principals, school sports coordinators, SSV District Coordinators, SSV Division Coordinators, SSV Region Coordinators, Team Officials, Local Clubs or State Sporting Associations.
  • Sporting achievements, in most instances, would need to be at National, or State level. International experiences should also be noted.
  • Students must be enrolled in a Government school in the year of nomination.
  • All nominations must carry the endorsement of the principal of the Government school attended.
  • Awards can only be attained once in any given sport at primary and once at secondary level.
