Get active and WIN with Premier's Active April
Calling all students and teachers – it's time to get on board with Premier's Active April, an exciting and fun way to get active, stay healthy, and enjoy time with family and friends. Not to mention to WIN some awesome prizes for yourself and the school.
Premier's Active April encourages all Victorians to commit to doing 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April. It's free, it's fun and it's part of the Victorian Government's commitment to get more people active and healthy.
Anyone can participate in Active April – friends, students, families, workmates or individuals, and it's FREE. Register today via the Active April website www.activeapril.vic.gov.au. Look for the dedicated schools page, follow the step-by-step instructions and download awesome school resources to help get students involved. You can create and join teams and compare the progress of team members for some friendly competition! Registrations are now open and will stay open until 30 April 2019.
Make sure you nominate your school when you register as a teacher or student and you'll increase your school's chance of winning one of the many fantastic prizes! There are inclusive sports sessions, sports clinics with high-profile athletes, a bike activity workshop and the school that has the largest percentage of their students registered will win either a $350, $500 or $750 sports voucher (small, medium and large schools respectively)*.
Plus, all schools and teachers that register for Premier's Active April 2019 have the chance to win one of three physical activity equipment kits valued up to $300 that can be used to support classroom teachers to increase activity and decrease sedentary behaviour through the school day. On top of this, all registered teachers will receive one 25% discount off a Play Australia membership.
